Dr. Matthew Smith BSc. MCHIR. - Chiropractor Dr. Matthew Smith - Chiropractor

I was born and raised near Warrnambool in Victoria. As a typical farm boy, i rode (and fell off) motorbikes, played football and did all the normal things a farm boy does to hurt himself. I was lucky enough to grow up with parents who took me and my siblings to our local Chiropractor to have general checks, as well as treating specific injuries.

While attending Chiropractic visits myself, I started to understand that Chiropractic was more of a philosophy rather than a technique or practice. This "philosophy" of removing interference and dysfunction from the body, so that it can function and heal correctly appealed to my "how things work" mindset.

During a 5 year double degee at Macquarie University (Bachelor of Science and Masters in Chiropractic) I was fortunate enough to be awarded the following awards:
The Chiropractors Association of Australia Academic award
The Chiropractic Education Australia Clinic Internship award
The Chiropractors Association of Australia Graduate of the year award
The Vice Chancellors Commendation for academic excellance

After graduating I have gained a lot of experience in my field, having worked a year in Australia and the following 6 years working in Europe in one of the busiest Chiropractic clinics in the United Kingdom before opening Absolute Health in 2011.
